I am so blessed to have not one, not two, not even three or four, but five sisters! I'm sad to say that when I was younger, I was so wrapped up in my own world, that I took them for granted. But as I've gotten older, I realize more and more how blessed I am. Each relationship is special in its own different way. My sister Bethany(16), is my best friend. She's who I share all my secrets with and yes, sometime even complain to. She knows me better than I sometimes know myself and even as a younger sister, I really respect and value her advice (thanks Beth, I love ya lotz). My next sister is 12 going on 21. She loves to cook, and is a forth mom to all the little ones, (Bethany and I having already staked our claim to the title of second and third!!) Her favorite thing to do is act like she's sleeping so she can hear mine and Bethany's conversations! If you ever want to know anything, ask her. Somehow (though unknown to us) , she's become an expert on what her older brothers and sisters are up to. One afternoon I came home to find her hiding in the closet and this waiting for me, she had worked on it all afternoon (I think she's watch way to many fairy tales!)....
Just in case you're wondering...NO, I didn't try it, and YES, she is still alive, but I asure you it took tremendous self control on my part, lol!!
Then there's my eight and five year old sisters. I can't leave the house without my hugs and a million questions as to when I'll be home and why I have leaving in the first place (even if it's only a short run to the bank or food store). I love teaching them to read and being woke up in the middle of the night, by one of them climbing under the covers, because they had a bad dream and don't want to be alone. I have a board in my room that holds some of my pictures on one side, and on the other, is a place to write messages. One day I was going out and knew they would be asleep by the time I got home. So I wrote each one of them a message on the board. I almost cried when I got home and found they had written one back. This was the latest one...
And last but not least is my almost 3 year old sister, who wants to do everything I'm doing. She likes to help me bake (though most of it ends up on the floor) and she's always there while I'm teaching the other ones saying, "can you do school with me too?" And my favorite, when she wants to know if something is for our family..."is that for we?" Yep, I'd say I'm so blessed!! I hope that no matter where life takes me, that I'll always be a part of their lives and they'll always be a part of mine. In a world that's pulling families apart, it's so important that we make all the more effort to stay close. I didn't always believe this concept, but I now see the wisdom in it. And will be forever grateful to God and my parents for my sisters!!! Blessings!
I thought (though not all true) this would be a cute song to end with, lol, a few of my friends know it well (and you guys do a great job singing it)!!!!
Sisters, sisters.
There were never such devoted sisters
Never had to have a chaperone, no sir,
Im there to keep my eye on her
Caring, sharing, Every little thing that we are wearing
When a certain gentleman arrived from rome
She wore the dress, and I stayed home
All kinds of weather, we stick together
The same in the rain and sun
Two different faces, but in tight places
We think and we act as one
Those whove seen us
Know that not a thing could come between us
Many men have tried to split us up, but no one can
Lord help the mister who comes between me and my sister
And lord help the sister, who comes between me and my man

Hey girl,
Hate to burst your bubble but I’m not 16 but 17. Anyways love your post and tell the truth you did try to kiss that frog didn't you? (Just kidding) Well that’s beside the point. You're an awesome older sister/best friend. Hope the age didn't make too much of a difference.
Thanks for all the mistakes you've made in this life. I'll never be able to repay you for all the trouble you have saved me from just by watching you.
Love you lots!
Bethany
ooooooooooo . . . messed up on the age of your very own sister!
Hey back Beth,
Oops, sorry for the mess up on your age. That's so funny! Oh well God always keeps be humble, lol. About the frog, haha! You're only saying that because that what you would have done, hehehe.
Well my dear, I'm glad you learned so much from all my misery. Glad those mistakes are in the past!! Hopefully you can learn from the good things now instead of the bad.
Love you bunches! Your Sis.
Dear Anonymous,
Thank you very much for rubbing it in. Hahaha. And yes, even people as perfect as me make mistakes, hehehe. Besides, if you're gonna pick on someone you should at least leave your name, so they know who they are being criticized by. Any comment to that??? ;-)
What's wrong with picking on someone without leaving your name?!?!?!? It's actually kind of smart because it avoids reprocusions:) But fair is fair I'll leave a clue this time;)
Dear anonymous,
A clue huh??? The only one I could find was that you forgot to give your smiley face a nose. I know someone who always does that, but I'm not sure you're that same someone. So, if you're gonna be nice about it, leave the first letter of your first and last name so I know if I’m right!! If not, I’ll leave it in God’s hands (He knows who you are) hahaha, and I’ll give up…..you win!!! Congratulations!!! ;)VBG
What??? Leave my initials?! That would be way to easy. Lemme think of another clue
amy...that is too cute! If she had given ME that frog...i woulda kissed it!!!!!!!! (just kidding)...(i think)...
Kathryn,
LOL! I bet you would have!!! But just for the record...I saved it in case I get desperate!!! Lov ya grl!
