We're back! Actually we've been back since last Thursday, but this is the first opportunity I've had to post. Out trip was amazing!!! To put it in my dad's words, "not one bad memory!" The weather, for the most part, was really nice and the children had a blast in the water, eventhough the waves were really huge and the lifeguard asked everyone to stay close to the shore. Life slowed down compared to the norm, but it was still busy. With thirty-one people (3 families) in one house, eleven under the age of fifteen, and six under the age of three, eveyday was an adventure! But a fun one none the less. The house we stayed in was huge, it had a hot tub, a swimming pool, a game room, a huge kitchen (Mrs. Sharon, I was thinking about you while in it, cuz you would have loved it!!), eleven bedrooms, ten bathrooms, two living rooms and believe it or not, an elevator (which gave you the feeling of being time warped as you went from one floor to the next!!) . It also had it's own walk leading right to the beach, which was a blessing because of all the little ones we had.
This being the first real family vacation we've had since I was little, was such a blessing. My favorite part of the whole trip was the night before we left. It was 1:30 in the morning and I had just finished packing up the kids pool stuff. I decided to walk out on our wooden platform, which took you almost to the tip of the ocean. I just sat there for awhile, listening to the waves crashing into the shore. The sky was dark and clear with only a few stars sprinkled here and there. The only light, coming from a few houses and the reflection of the sky against the sea. It's moments like that this you are reminded of how big God is and small we really are. Those moments were so wonderful, sitting there on the step, taking in God creation, everything somehow seemed so perfect!! What an awesome God we have!!
Below are a few pictures (Sadly, I'm not allowed to post pictures of our little ones, so I'll have to show you those in person!!). Blessings to you all.

And last but not least, my favorite, our trip to Jockeys Ridge.
Which has the largest sand dunes on the east coast. With the ocean on one side and the sound on the other. In one word...AWESOME!!!

No prob. I like it when people leave comments on my site so why shouldn't I do it to others??
hey...doesn't John realize what he's doing??? Didn't he read the bajillion signs around him that said"DO NOT FEED SEAGULLS"? Doesn't he realize that he causing the enviroment to deteriorate at a much more rapid pace??? Just think....his children...grand-children...the whole human race will might not be able to expierience the beauty of the gull...what a horrible thought...arg.
just in case you were wondering...yes I was just joking...(about the sea gulls...that was extremely juvenille..;-/)
i'm so glad you guys had a blast...i can't wait til it's my turn to run down those dunes...ah...it looks so awesome!

Kat,
Unfortunately I don’t think John paid any attention to the signs, matter of fact, I don’t even remember seeing any of them. Oh well, at least if his children and grandchildren suffer it will be though an honest mistake! LOL. Oh and don’t worry I don’t offend that easily!
Thanks for leaving the comments, I loved hearing from ya! See ya girly.
