Priceless Treasures

Being sick is defiantly no picnic, and coming down with Strep Throat was no exception. Yet, in the middle of that down time, the Lord sent me little reminders of how blessed I really am. My little blessings came in the form of two dear little girls and their efforts to “help me feel better”. These are my priceless treasures, for they come from the heart of my eight and six year old sisters…. ...You've gotta love the spelling!!!

A Birthday Wish

Happy 18th Birthday Bethany!! I remember jumping up and down for joy on the sofa cushion (which was on the floor for some reason or another, lol, some thing never change do they???!!!) when mom got home from her sonogram and informed me that you'd be a girl. After two brothers I so wanted a sister, and I couldn't have asked for a better one. Over the years you've become my best friend and I've come to treasure all the times we've shared day in and day out. You are an example of a Proverbs 31 woman and at the risk of embarrassing you....your husband will be a blessed man. I've learned from your example and submissive spirit. You are wonderful taking care of the younger ones and helping out in the home. Keep following the Lord; I can't wait to see what He's going to do with your life. Oh, and you're welcome for all the things you learned NOT to do from watching me. At least some one benefited from my hard head!! Love ya Lotzzzzzzzzzz.

Oh, How The Years Go By......

Girls Night Out!!

My sisters, Bethany, Deborah, and I enjoyed a wonderful time together attending a high school performance of Pride and Prejudice. Based on Jane Austin’s classic novel, Pride and Prejudice is the story of Miss. Elizabeth Bennet, her sisters, and the relationships they find themselves entangled in. With characters like Mr. Darcy, Mr. Collins, Miss. Lucus and the rest of the Bennet clan, this story was so much fun to see acted out on stage. And even though the most romantic ending scene was totally ruined by the guy in front of us, who apparently was having self control problems and laughed his way through it, the evening was splendid.

My sister Bethany, and I during the intermission.

Mr. Darcy and Miss. Bennet having a most disagreeable conversation.

Miss. Jane Bennet, Mrs. Bennet, Miss. Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Bennet having a family meeting.

If you've never seen the movie, check in out... the old version, or the new, and prepair to fall in love with this classic!!
