I first heard this song (“I Loved Her First” by: Heartland) driving down the road, and it made me cry. It reminded me of how blessed I was to have my “daddy” and how thankful I am that he's such a huge part of my life. I was talking to a dad at our church last Sunday who had just heard it for the first time. His daughter is only three, but he said it made him go forward to her wedding day and cry at the thought of losing her. I found this video the other day and since it was one of my favorite songs put to scenes from one of my favorite movies (Pride and Prejudice), I though it would be cool to share. Enjoy the words and the movie. If you’re a guy…you’ll be just fine. If you’re a daughter or father…watch out, you will not have dry eyes by the end of this!!!

Amy,
What a sweet song. I can cry myself when I think of having my boys marry and leave my home. It has been the greatest pleasure and joy in my life having these boys to raise. I am a blessed mom and even more so with my girl Taylee. The song "Butterfly Kisses" will be a killer for me when she is grown. Every night she smothers my face with kisses and butterfly kisses after prayers.
My dad found your blog and passed it on to me. I love the video that you made. They are both one of my favorite songs and movies. So creative and the scenes you chose were perfect. Thanks for adding some joy to my day.
Stephanie,
Thank you for your comment. But I can't take credit for the movie. I actually found it on YouTube and since it was one of my favorite movies, put to one of my favorite songs, I just had to share it. Glad you liked it too. See ya around:-)
Sharon/ aka mom ;-)
I'm so glad you liked the song. Taylee is such a sweetheart, the kisses before bed must me so special to you. It's amazing how people so little can add so much to your life. Aren't we blessed??Oh and don't worry, it'll be a good LONG time before your little girl leaves the nest.
Love ya lotz.
Not meaning to nitpick . . . but . . . i've never heard of price and predjudice. Joey wants to know if price and predjudice is a sequel to pride and prejudice.

Thanks for putting the video up, I love your blog...its so...real. Talk to you later :)
